So you have an awesome small business. and you’re ready to launch – YAY!! But now you need content to post that engages your audience and attracts your ideal client. That is where personal branding comes in, my friend. A personal branding photo session is the perfect opportunity to create content that showcases your brand and unique style while also helping your audience connect with you. How do you prep for a personal branding session? This blog post will answer all your questions to help you rock your next branding photo shoot!
My favorite outfits are definitely neutrals. It may sound boring, but neutral tones actually create the most beautiful and clean images. We want to highlight what makes your brand unique, so keeping your outfit neutral will help showcase what your brand is all about. With that being said, we also want to incorporate your brand colors. This will create a cohesive look to all of your content.
Make sure to bring plenty of outfits for your personal branding session. The goal is to capture a variety of images that you can use on multiple platforms to support and promote your business. For example, you might use these photos to post on Instagram, update your website, and even for client emails. The possibilities are endless, so a variety is very important. Whatever outfits you choose, I always suggest including a classic white top with denim. This is such a classic look that you can’t miss out on.
Here’s the fun part – props! This is an important step, because this will really help define what your business is all about and it helps express your personality and values. For example, if you love florals or coffee, incorporate them into your images! If you sell a product, bring multiple examples so that potential clients can see what you offer. Laptops are another prop I like to incorporate in my sessions. We all have computer work to do. This is a great way to show another aspect of your role as a business owner.
Most importantly, have fun! If you’re a business owner, you probably love what you do. So show the world how fun you’re having growing your business. Your personal branding gallery is meant to show your unique style and help you connect with your audience. Don’t be afraid to be silly, too! Oh, and if you have pets, definitely let them make an appearance!
I hope you enjoyed this post about how to prep for your next personal branding session. Have a happy day!
Kindly,
Christine
